The artificial turf base fabric, also known as the base fabric, refers to the part where the grass weave is assembled and fixed together. There are three types of artificial turf base fabrics, one-layer base fabric, mostly PP; second-layer base fabric, mainly PP+non-woven fabric and PP+grid cloth; Mainly cloth.

PP cloth is what we call polyester every day. It has good elasticity, is not afraid of being squeezed, is quick-drying, and is easy to clean; the characteristics of non-woven fabrics are moisture-proof, breathable, flexible, light in texture, non-combustible, easy to decompose, non-toxic and non-irritating It is non-toxic and recyclable; the mesh cloth has the advantages of high strength, anti-bending, waterproof and heat-resistant, good air permeability, and strong adhesion of the coating.

Since the artificial turf base fabric is placed at the bottom directly in contact with the foundation, and is often exposed to the sun and rain, or even soaked in water, it must be breathable, waterproof, durable, and has a good anti-aging effect. If the artificial turf base fabric is thin, or the quality of the base fabric material is not good, it will be corroded and cracked, which will seriously affect the service life of the artificial turf.

Under the premise of ensuring quality, PP cloth, non-woven fabric and grid cloth have their own advantages and disadvantages respectively. In consideration of the durability and service life of artificial turf, the current artificial turf base fabric uses a single layer PP or non-woven fabrics are relatively rare, and most of them use composite base fabrics to make them cooperate with each other to achieve the best use effect. But at the same time, the cost will naturally increase.
